This is a very common condition, however it is often incorrectly diagnosed. Normally, this condition presents with pain in the lower back, more on one side than the other. The pain can be felt in the buttock, but does not radiate down the leg to the foot. The pain may be worse if you stand or sit for a prolonged period of time.
Sacroiliac pain can present similar to sciatica, piriformis syndrome or lower back pain. If this painful condition is not correctly identified you could waste several weeks receiving the wrong treatment.
At Sheehan physiotherapy we have specialised, non-invasive testing techniques that will quickly identify the cause of your pain. Once identified we will formulate an appropriate treatment plan in agreement with you to resolve your condition.
If you think you may be suffering with sacroiliac pain give us a call. We can help.
